Transfer Printing

Precision, Quality & Durability on Plastic Components

Transfer printing moves a design from a pre-printed sheet onto the surface of plastic parts. The artwork is first printed on a special film or paper, then transferred to the part with heat & pressure. It is especially suited to curved or hard surfaces, giving sharp, durable decoration at production scale.

PROCESS OVERVIEW

From Printed Film to a Permanent Finish

The process runs in three controlled stages. First, the design is printed on a dedicated transfer film or paper, in full colour or a single colour, with vivid tones & fine detail. Next, the print is transferred to the plastic surface under calibrated heat & pressure: heat holds the design in place, and the right pressure bonds it permanently to the part. Finally, a curing & drying stage hardens the print for lasting resistance to environmental conditions.

Why This Method

High Precision on Complex, Curved Surfaces

Transfer printing reproduces very fine detail & complex artwork with high clarity, and the finished print stands up to abrasion, moisture, sunlight & high temperatures. Because the design is carried on a film, it adheres easily to curved & irregular shapes, ideal for specially formed plastic parts.

Strong Ink Adhesion

Resists moisture, heat, abrasion & even chemicals, keeping the print intact in harsh conditions.

Reproduces very fine, complex detail with no loss of quality or sharpness.

Applies easily to curved, uneven & complex-shaped plastic parts.

Long service life that holds up to wear & repeated washing.

MATERIAL APPLICATIONS

Branding & Information Across Plastic Products

Transfer printing serves a wide range of plastic parts: home appliance components, food, beverage, cosmetic & hygiene packaging, automotive parts, electronic devices & industrial components that need precise markings or security labels. Each substrate runs under its own optimised settings.

Polypropylene (PP)

Ideal for cosmetic jars, closures & tubes. Delivers vivid colour with strong, lasting adhesion.

Polyethylene (HDPE / LDPE)

Suited to bottles & soft tubes with curved surfaces.

PET

Full-colour decoration for clear & tinted bottles with a high-gloss finish.

Injection-Molded Components

Wrap-around branding for lip balm sticks, cases & cosmetic parts.

Applied Printing Examples

Industrial consistency across materials, geometries & brand identities.

The following examples represent executed projects across cosmetic, hygiene & pharmaceutical packaging, showing full-colour transfers, fine detail & durable bonding on tubes, jars & bottles of different shapes & sizes.

How It Compares

Silk screen printing lays down one colour per screen and suits bold, opaque graphics, while pad printing excels at small logos on curved or recessed parts. Transfer printing applies full-colour, photographic artwork in a single step over larger areas.
Fast and cost-effective for mass production.
